About Us

Congaree Home Center, Inc. is a family owned company. Lester and Jerri Newton opened Congaree Home Center in 1991 on Charleston Highway. In 1992, their son, Art Newton joined the company and we expanded to several locations. We opened sales centers in Sumter, Lexington, Lugoff and a location on Highway #1. In January of 2002, Stacey Newton, the third generation, came aboard after graduating from Louisiana State University.

We have consolidated our locations into one large super center at 3118 Augusta Road in West Columbia.

At Congaree Home Center, we believe in treating our customers the same way we want to be treated. We believe in selling quality built manufactured and modular homes. We always do the best we can and always do what is right. We have an on-site service department lead by Judy Brown, our service manager, and we believe that our customers deserve the best and most prompt service. We stand behind the homes we sell and make sure that our customers are treated like family.
